About Me
I’m a full-time South Asian multimedia journalist based in British Columbia, Canada, specializing in covering issues affecting marginalized communities.
From daily news to investigative stories, I amplify the potential of both journalistic pieces and social media clients through gripping narratives that engage and inform audiences effectively.
I hold an honours degree in Television from the University of Westminster, UK, which I pursued after being awarded the prestigious Scindia School X Westminster 100% scholarship. I followed this by earning a specialized Journalism diploma from Montreal.
I’ve worked for a film festival in Vancouver and as a full-time LJI reporter, covering underserved northern B.C. communities with a special focus on First Nations reporting in Canada.
Through working with diverse communities, I have improved my practice by crafting content with nuance and cultural sensitivity, ensuring that my work minimizes harm and respects the perspectives of all audiences.
I strive to be fair, ethical and truthful in my journalism practice.
I love immersing myself in new cultures and am also an internationally certified Ashtanga yoga teacher who loves going on long walks in the forest.
